The Windham Theatre Guild will hold open auditions for the comedy On Golden Pond. . Before the film version starring Henry Fonda and Katharine Hepburn, there was the Tony Award winning play. This simple tale of the Thayer family summer centers around the bickering buT Loving relationship between Ethel and Norman Thayer, an elderly couple spending their 48th summer at their lake home. When their independent, insecure daughter Chelsea and her new boyfriend, Bill come for Norman's 80th birthday, they ask the couple to look after Bill's teenage son. Norman becomes closer to Billy than he ever did with his daughter, sparking her long-repressed resentment. There are many things skimming along the surface of Golden Pond, including the presence of loons--who represent all things wonderful about their summer house and their life. Come and be a part of one of the great plays of the American stage!
