The Theater Barn in New Lebanon, New York continues its summer of love on Thursday, July 30th with the first musical of the season, the regional premiere of "Zanna Don't," the funny and charming musical fairy tale with book, music and lyrics by Tim Acito with additional book and lyrics by Alexander Dinelaris.

Its the begining of the school year at Heartsville High and Zanna, the school's magical musical matchmaker is as determined as ever to make sure everyone in town is happily paired up. When the captain of the football team falls for an over achieving student, it turns the town upside down and changes the world forever. The energetic and upbeat score is as refreshing as it is entertaining. It was perhaps best described by New York critic Michael Feingold as "a gay-is-good musical that crusades for heterosexual's rights to love each other."

"Zanna Don't" is directed by Bert Bernardi. Victoria Casella is the musical director. The cast features Matt Densky as Zanna with Kyle Metzger, Jeffery James Dinan, Nisa Ari, Megan Rozak, Geoff Lutz, Nicole DiMattei and Steven Cardona. Sets by Abe Phelps, Costumes by Kate Mincer, Lights by Allen Phelps. Michael Marotta is the Artistic Director of The Theater Barn. Producers, Joan and Abe Phelps.
