"A Moment in Time" written by Stewart F. Lane with music and lyrics by John Denver received a reading for an invited audience at an NYC Studio Space on Tuesday, September 17th.

John Denver, one of America's most cherished songwriters and performers, wrote songs loved by generations and was on the forefront of the peace and conservation movements. The death of this activist, humanitarian and musician was a shock to the world in 1991- Denver was 53 years old.

Stewart F. Lane and Denver's musical "A Moment in Time", had its world premiere at Dix Hills Performing Arts Center in 2010. Subsequent readings and presentations have been done to blend the original story with the existing songbook.

The latest reading directed by Sheldon Epps featured cast members: Timothy Warmen, Jack Fitzpatrick, Caitlyn Jones, Nili Bassman, Ryan Bauer-Walsh, Sawyer Avery, Wolfgang Sheitinger, and Alyssa Renzi. The reading was presented by Bonnie Comley and Alyssa Renzi.

Five-time Tony winning producer, Stewart F. Lane has written several books "Jews on Broadway" and "Let's Put on a Show", and the soon to be published "Black on Broadway". His playwriting credits include "In The Wings" and "If It Was Easy", nominated for the American Theatre Critics Association's New Play Award.
