A number of theatre stars will appear in Selected Shorts: A Celebration of the Short Story in February at Symphony Space (2537 Broadway at 95th Street),

Joe Morton (Art, Raisin), Frances Sternhagen (Seascape, Steel Magnolias) and Richard Thomas (A Naked Girl on the Appian Way, Democracy) will take part in "Banned: Stories by Censored Writers and Dissidents," which will feature "moving and provocative tales from Iran and Indonesia." Hosted by Isaiah Sheffer, it will be presented at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre on February 8th at 6:30 PM.

Marian Seldes (Dinner at Eight, Deathtrap) and Malachy McCourt (Translations, Mass Appeal) will read from the work of James Thurber, Italo Calvino and Jorge Luis Borges on February 22nd at 8 PM at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre. The writers' stories will recount "fantastic tales about humans and animals."
