Stars from MOTOWN, MATILDA and BEAUTIFUL Set for FUNKYTOWN in NYC, 10/6

On Monday, October 6th, 2014, Damn The Light (a NYC based production and promotional company founded by Mike Greco and MaryAnne Piccolo) present FUNKYTOWN: New York City's Greatest Disco Revue at Santos Party House.

FUNKYTOWN is a celebration and tribute the golden era of NYC nightlife. The 1970s discothe?que was the last "club scene" known for it's marriage of live music, disc jockeys, specialty performances, exotic circus acts, and celebrity cameo appearances- a spectacular spectacle! Infamous nightclubs such as "Studio 54," "Flamingo," and "The Roxy" paved the way for what we have today.

Disco Revue performances include Gisela Adisa (Beautiful on Broadway), Charl Brown (Motown the Musical on Broadway), Krystal Joy Brown (Motown the Musical on Broadway), Betsy Struxness (Matilda on Broadway), ABBA GIRLZ, Andrew Barret Cox (Clubland), Philip Deyesso, James Jackson, Agnes Jawien, MaryAnne Piccolo, Charlotte Small, Andromeda Turre and Danielle Tyler.

The night will be under the musical direction of Mike Greco (keyboards). The full band line up will include Wade Ridenhour (Keyboards), Joe Young (Guitar), Jimmy Caputo (Bass), and Joe DiBella (Drums).

Hell's Kitchen sweetheart and "showbiz spitfire" Paige Turner will serve as emcee. Michael Alig's AligMart will be having a pop-­up shop run by Ernie Glam and will also be one of the sponsors for the night's raffle, which includes a slew of fabulous swag. DJ MISS GUY (The Toilet Boys) will be spinning your favorite hits of the 1970s. Other guest performances include Michael T and friends, as well as a presentation from the new theatrical experience CLUBLAND (based on the book Disco Bloodbath). Décor and Looks will be provided by Dingy Disco (Jarrett Edward and Zac Weiss). The evening will be hosted by Mike Greco & MaryAnne Piccolo, Dave Delzio, Domonique Echeverria, Leo Gugu and more!

FUNKYTOWN is a party down the disco-rabbit-hole transporting the audience and guests through a wildly entertaining time-warp experience. Doors are at 7:00pm.
