The first music from Andrew Lloyd Webber's new show Stephen Ward will be released through Mercury Classics / Deutsche Grammophon and available for download on Easter Sunday (31 March), following its world premiere performance by the chart-topping star guitarist MILOŠ, during the ITV special 'Andrew Lloyd Webber: 40 Musical Years'.

The 'Theme from Stephen Ward', by Lloyd Webber, was specially arranged for classical guitar, and performed by Miloš Karadagli?, a 29 year old Montenegrin, recently described by The Times as "a new classical guitar God".

The arrangement is taken from music from Stephen Ward, a new musical in development by Andrew Lloyd Webber with book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton. The show tells the story of the Profumo Affair from the perspective of Dr Stephen Ward, the society osteopath at the centre of the scandal. Directed by Richard Eyre, the show chronicles the emergence of 60s cultural revolution and the repression and revolt of the old guard against the new concepts and ideals.

The production is still in development, but is expected to be in the West End in 2014.

Andrew said: "I was absolutely thrilled when Milos agreed to perform the Theme from Stephen Ward. I have wanted to work with him since I saw him perform at the first London "Yellow Lounge" event in Bermondsey Street Tunnels in 2011 - collaborating with him has been a real privilege."

'Andrew Lloyd Webber: 40 Musical Years' will be broadcast on ITV1, Easter Sunday, 31 March at 6.30pm.
