STAGE TUBE: Kerry Butler Records for NOR•MAL the Musical

NOR•MAL the musical, which is presented in conjunction with NORMAL in Schools, is a musical focusing on the impact of eating disorders, the therapeutic impact of theatre and related issues such as body image, self esteem, family communication and stress management.

With more than half of teenage girls and almost one-third of teenage boys in the United States currently engaged in unhealthy weight control behaviors, there is a critical need for eating disorder awareness and support within this vulnerable population. NORMAL In Schools is a nonprofit organization that teaches about eating disorders, the therapeutic impact of the arts and related issues such as body image, self esteem and family communication.

The first two segments of the NIS Online Program / DVD will be of the award- winning 75-minute rock musical NOR•MAL (book by Yvonne Adrian, lyrics by Cheryl Stern, music by Tom Kochan) followed by a talk-back with expert clinicians and people in recovery.
