Singer and actress Jennifer Hudson sang ‘Happy Birthday' to President Barrack Obama in Chicago the day before he turned 50.

The President told the crowd, "I could not have a better early birthday present than spending tonight with all of you," according to US Weekly.

The President joked, "It is true that I turn 50 tomorrow, which means that by the time I wake up, I will have an email from AARP, asking me to call President Obama and tell him to protect Medicare."

Obama celebrated his actual birthday at the White House with a party in the Rose Garden. Those in attendance reportedly included Jay-Z, Chris Rock, Tom Hanks, Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, and more.
