Tony Award-winner Diahann Carroll's acclaimed one-woman 'The Lady..The Music..The Legend' will premiere on PBS on Tuesday, September 14 at 8 p.m. on THIRTEEN and Wednesday, September 15 at 8 p.m. on WLIW21. 'The Lady..The Music..The Legend' celebrates the remarkable career of the multi-talented Tony- and Golden Globe Award-winner in an intimate concert at the Annenberg Theater in Palm Springs, California. Backed by the Pat Rizzo Orchestra, Diahann performs her most famous songs, which reflect the many roles she's played throughout her career, while paying tribute to some of America's greatest songwriters -- Johnny Mercer, Richard Rodgers, Alan Jay Lerner, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Cole Porter -- and the music of Frank Sinatra.
Diahann Carroll has received a Tony and a Golden Globe award and has been nominated for an Emmy, a Grammy, and received a Best Actress Oscar nomination. She is best known for her title role in the 1968 television series Julia and for co-starring in the TV series Dynasty.
