Live+7 ratings have been released for the week of March 18 and the March 19 episode of NBC's musical drama series SMASH saw the numbers actually double when factoring in the seven-day DVR viewings - a pretty major coup.

Not only is this significant news insofar as indicating viewer interest in SMASH is still relatively strong, especially among viewership on NBC - THE NEW NORMAL, for example, achieved 1.2 versus SMASH's 1.4 overall for the premiere ep and Live+7 rating - but also that the 18-49 audience demographic has not checked out of the ratings-plagued series entirely - not by any means.

Also of special note, SMASH has been ranked the top network series in households earning $100,000 or more, indicating the viewship may have the power of the pocketbook in their favor, as well.

So, SMASH fans are well-advised to support the advertisers featured during the show as well as to keep DVR-ing it as an act of solidarity - particularly now that the Broadway-themed series has moved to Saturday nights and on Saturday suffered its lowest ratings to date.
