Founded in 1903 by Flora D'Auby Jenkins Kibbe, Bideawee ("stay awhile" in Scottish) is one of the oldest humane organizations in the United States. Bideawee's Mission is to promote and support safe, loving, long-term relationships between people and companion animals by providing a continuum of services and programs that are innovative, personalized and of high quality. The organization was founded in 1903 in New York City and has been caring for, and finding homes for, stray animals. Since its inception, it has been Bideawee's policy never to euthanize an animal unless it is incurably ill or suffering. For more information, visit www.bideawee.org.
