RICH MAROTTA'S MAGIC MANIA Makes West Village Debut Tonight

RICH MAROTTA'S MAGIC MANIA will be making its West Village debut tonight, August 27th at 8:30pm The Grisly Pear (107 Macdougal Street). MAGIC MANIA runs 75 minutes and is NYC's Most Cutting Edge, Off the Wall, WTF JUST HAPPENED Variety Magic Show! The show is hosted by internationally known magician and comedian, Rich Marotta. Tickets are $15 at the door and $10 tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting: http://richmarottasmagicmania.bpt.me. There is a 2 drink minimum at the venue.

Always hilarious, sometimes raunchy, and completely unexpected MAGIC MANIA strips away all the frills, top hats, and bunnies from the traditional magic shows of your childhood and instead brings you raw street magic with a comedic twist built for the 21+ crowd.

Hosted by the internationally known "Comedian who Does Magic" Rich Marotta, the show runs 75 minutes and features performances from some of the biggest and best names in the business. Oh and it's a Magic Show, so the audience should be prepared to participate... the acts won't embarrass anyone *too much*!

Rich Marotta, the heavily mustached host and producer of MAGIC MANIA is a seasoned veteran of the comedy club circuit. Rich headlined the circuit in 80's and 90's during the height of the comedy club era. He was a frequent guest on Showtime, HBO, Comic Strip live and Friday live in London. He is one of the few comedians who blended great stand up with strong magic, a trend that is now ubiquitous in the magic world. He was a forerunner and continues to bring his edgy vision to the stage and comedy circuit. He also brought his wacky bend of comedy magic to the big stage with his side kick, Twila Zone. Magic and Zone have performed on Broadway at the Snapple Theatre, Las Vegas and theaters throughout the country. Besides being a stand up performer Rich is also an expert at Close up Sleight of hand. He has released many of effects to the magic community and all have been best sellers. Almost every Magic Shop in the country carries some of Rich Marotta's magic effects. Rich also works elite corporate events and is often flown worldwide to wow clients. Magic Mania is Rich's current adventure with the mission to bring cutting edge magic to the streets and stages of New York City. Get ready to be blown away and to laugh your xx - off!
