RIALTO CHATTER: Sting & NORMAL's Yorkey to Collaborate on Broadway Musical?

Deadline.com is reporting that Sting and NEXT TO NORMAL's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer and lyricist Brian Yorkey. Few details on the nature of the show have been revealed, however it is believed that it is inspired by Sting's memoir, Broken Music.  The show, however, is allegedly not a autobiographical.  No word on whether or not the score would be original.

This would not be Sting's first foray into musical theater.  in 1989 he starring in the Threepenny Opera at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre as Macheath.  He is, of course, best known for his participation in the band, The Police, and subsequent solo career. Brian Yorkey won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, in addition to the 2009 Tony Award for best score for his musical, NEXT TO NORMAL.
