The National Board of Review just presented the annual National Board of Review Awards Gala last night, January 10, 2012 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. A star-studded group of honorees were there for the festivities, including theatre veterans Alec Baldwin, Viola Davis, Rosie O'Donnell, and many more.

The National Board of Review awards grants to promising film students as well as a community outreach to The Children's Aid Society, The Ghetto Film School, Reel Works Teen Filmmaking, and Educational Video Center. Earlier this year, the NBR awarded 27 student grants. As in previous years, this year's winners will be announced on Thursday, December 1st, ensuring that voting members have the opportunity to see as many films as possible.
