Rattlestick Playwrights Theater celebrated its 13th Anniversary Gala Benefit on October 1 at Caroline's on Broadway (1626 Broadway, at 50th St).
Special entertainment for the evening featured performances by Remy Auberjonois, Anastasia Barzee, Bill Bowers, J. Michael Friedman, Norm Lewis and Aaron Tveit. Playwrights in attendance included Arthur Kopit, Adam Rapp, Lucy Thurber, Craig Lucas, Adam Bock and Marcy Heisler
Rattlestick is a multi award-winning 501(c)3 company and recipient of the 2007 Ross Wetzsteon Memorial Obie Award for their development and production of new and innovative plays. In order to best foster the future voices of American Theater, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's mission is to provide a positive, nurturing experience for emerging playwrights; to present diverse and challenging plays that otherwise might not be produced.
