Photo Coverage: Meet The Oscars in NY with Whoopi - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Yesterday, the Meet the Oscars: An exhibition of Oscar statuettes on display in New York City was held at Vanderbuilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal.
At the event, visitors were able to see the actual Oscar statuettes that will be presented to this year's Best Actor and Best Actress at the 83rd Academy Awards®. Billy Wilder's Best Picture Oscar for "The Apartment" (1960) was be on display. In addition, a series of Oscar statuettes in various stages of completion were on view. The exhibit was free of charge and all visitors were able to hold an actual Oscar statuette and have their picture taken.Whoopi Goldberg - Best Supporting Actress Academy Award winner for "Ghost" (1990), Best Actress in a Leading Role nominee for "The Color Purple" (1985), and four-time host of the Academy Awards led the ceremony.The 83rd Academy Award Ceremony will be held this Sunday, February 27, at 8pm EST. The ceremony will be broadcast on the ABC network.
