On May 15th and 16th, acclaimed singer/songwriter and Broadway performer Larry Gatlin performed at the Metropolitan Room in an evening presented by Jamie DeRoy & friends.  On May 15th, he was joined by Dee Hoty and on May 16th, by James Naughton and Nicolette Hart.

Gatlin had his first Top 20 hit, "Sweet Becky Walker," in 1974.  In 1976, his brothers, Steve and Rudy, joined him and the three went on to make renowned hits including the Grammy Award-winning "Broken Lady," "I Don't Wanna Cry," "Love Is Just a Game," and "Statues Without Hearts." The brothers "rekindled their ole' gospel music flame" with the 2005 release of "Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers Sing Their Family Gospel Favorites", and in so doing, lit the way toward their 9th Grammy nomination to date.  Gatlin has also appeared on Broadway - in the title role of The Will Rogers Follies.  Circa 2006, Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers are still performing live across the US.
