My Vaudeville Man! is the story of a boy born to dance and the mother who fought to keep him home! Karen Murphy and Shonn Wiley star in the musical based on the life of legendary eccentric tap dancer Jack Donahue (played by Ray Bolger on film) and his mother-who fights to keep her son off the wicked vaudeville stage. My Vaudeville Man! has a book by Jeff Hochhauser, music by Bob Johnston, and lyrics by Johnston and Hochhauser, based on Jack Donahue's Letters of a Hoofer to his Ma. Lynne Taylor-Corbett directed and choreographed with Shonn Wiley serving as co-choreographer, and musical direction by Douglas Oberhamer.

The critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production of My Vaudeville Man! opened on November 17th, 2008 at The York Theatre at St. Peter's to rave reviews: "This two-character musical has plenty of charm, personable acting and great tapping!" - Variety; "The show's two stars bring total conviction - and gobs of talent - to their roles!" - Theatermania. My Vaudeville Man was nominated for two Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Musical and Outstanding Choreography, and two Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Choreography and Outstanding Actress In a Musical (Karen Murphy).
