Norte Maar Presents CounterPointe Series at Actors Fund Arts Center, Now thru 9/30

The Actors Fund Arts Center (160 Schermerhorn Street, Brooklyn) presents the new CounterPointe performance series, tonight, Sept 28 at 7:30pm, Sat, Sept 29 at 7:30pm, and Sun, Sept 30 at 4pm.

Presented by Norte Maar in collaboration with Brooklyn Ballet, CounterPointe is a new performance series dedicated to presenting the latest experimental, innovative, risk-taking choreography that shows a depth of investment in ballet by women dance makers working with the pointe shoe. Investigating new and old territory the series highlights new work, opening up discussion, and creating a forum for women, young or old, emerging or established, to take risks.

The series will feature new works by Lynn Parkerson, Julia K. Gleich and Marie Renee Bennett, with additional showings by Eve Chan, Emily Bufferd, and others to be announced.
