NEXT FALL and FELA! Producers Committed to Keeping Shows Open

Stephen Hendel, producer of Fela!, and Richard Willis, producer of Next Fall, have stated they intend for their shows to have extended runs on broadway, despite a lack of wins at this year's Tony Awards.

Mr. Willis told the New York Times that, in spite of low weekly box office grosses for "Next Fall," he hoped to continue running the show through the summer, but that it would depend on ticket sales. Mr. Hendel, meanwhile, said he was committed to giving "Fela!" a long run in New York, while also going forward with plans for a London production and a national tour.
