Variety reports that musical Gauguin/Savage Light, about the life of artist Paul Gauguin, will enjoy a gets a month-long run at the Roy Arias Theater, set to start June 12. The show features music, lyrics, book, direction, production, and piano all by George Fischoff (composer, Lesley Gore's "98.6," Spanky and the Gang's "Lazy Day"), and stars Domenic Scaglione Jr., Kaylin Lee Clinton and Adam Wright in every role.

Gauguin, the 19th-century French painter and engraver, was friends with both Van Gough and Cezanne and is regarded as a pioneer in art forms such as Primitivism.

Gauguin/Savage Light previously played at Theater Row last spring before playing eight weeks at the Abingdon in late 2006. Fischoff has stated that he will extend the production if he's still selling 15 seats per performance at the end of four weeks.
