MotorCity Casino Hotel will welcome comedian Orlando Baxter to Sound Board on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 8 p.m. when he'll open for Whitney Cummings.
Orlando Baxter performs all over the country and is a regular headliner at comedy clubs throughout New England. He exploded on the Boston comedy scene in 2005, quickly establishing himself as one of the area's hottest young comics. In 2007 Baxter was a finalist in NBC's "Stand Up for Diversity Showcase" with his fresh perspective and unique relatability quickly solidifying this former high school teacher as fan favorite. In 2010, he became a finalist in both the New York Comedy Contest and the Boston Comedy festival, and just two years later he toured the U.S. with comedian Jo Koy, as the opening act in Koy's "Lights Out" tour.
