More Casting Announced for Legend of Pearl Hart Musical

Michael Shane Ellis, Dax Valdes and John Rice have joined the cast of The Legend of Pearl Hart, a
new musical about the life and exploits of Pearl Taylor Hart, the
"Famous Female Arizona Bandit." It will be presented from June 9th
through 24th at TBG Arts Center (West 36th Street, on the fourth floor,
west of Eighth Avenue).Ellis will play Jack Hart, Valdes will portray Woo Fun and Rice will be the principal understudy/ASM for the show.The musical, which will be presented by LCO Productions, features a book and lyrics
by Cathy Chamberlain, and music by Rich Look. It will be directed by
Lea Orth, with choreography by Jim Osorno.The show will star Laurie Gamache (A Chorus Line), Trip Pylmale (The Robber Bridegroom), George Riddle (The Fantasticks), Keith Krutchoff and in the title role, Catherine Hesse.
The Legend of Pearl Hart
"chronicles the exploits of Pearl Taylor Hart, a young Canadian woman
who, in the 1890's, became famous when she robbed a stage-coach. The
resulting press coverage dubbed her 'The Daring Arizona Female Bandit'
and made Pearl an overnight media sensation. In her growing fame and
notoriety, she attracted the constant scrutiny of the law, male
admirers and interest from the suffragette movement which included a
jailhouse visit from Emma Goldman," according to press notes. Songs
include "Colombian Exposition Midway March," "Just a Cowboy," "New Girl
in Town," and "Newspaper Quote."
The musical, which will also
feature Angie Blocher, Rob Laqui, Arthur Lundquist, Darc Miller, Judith
Polson, Stephanie Schweizer, Tyler W. Smith, Natasha Soto Albors and
Bradley P. Staubes, will feature arrangements and musical direction by David Jackson.The
design team will include costumes by Amy Kitzhaber, sets by Darrell
Keister, and lighting by Amith Chandrashaker. Additional vocal
arrangements are by Howard Johnson and the assistant music director is
Steve Cohen.The Legend of Pearl Hart
runs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 pm, Fridays at 8:00 pm and
Saturdays at 2pm and 8:00 pm June 9th through June 24th. Tickets are
