Melissa Errico will perform at Birdland (315 West 44th Street, NYC) in her show "then & now" on Monday, December 11th and Tuesday, December 12th at 7 PM.

Making her solo debut at the legendary jazz club, Errico will perform a fresh set of standards, theater music, original songs and lullabies. The song list includes: "I Remember," "The Man That Got Away" and "From This Moment On," as well as highlights from her first album "Blue Like That" (EMI) and her upcoming symphonic album with Michel Legrand, produced by Phil Ramone–featuring such Oscar-winning classics as "The Summer Knows" and "What Are You Doing The Rest of Your Life?"

The show will explore the theme of 'change' and Errico says, "My life has changed so radically in the last year and I really feel I am standing on the line between the past and the future, not sure which way to turn, but not afraid either...Ihave never been as excited about a solo concert run as I am about this one... I will definitely be doing some Michel Legrand songs from my upcoming disc (Summer 2007), but I am really exploring the building blocks of a next CD after that.

I will be reaching into the world of
theater songs much more deeply than I have in the past. I love working with my singer-songwriter brother Mike (as I have in most of my past shows) and working on pop material, but right now I am exploring songs by Sondheim and Harold Arlen and Leonard Bernstein and hearing things in them I haven't heard or felt before. The arrangements are a sort of fusion of the!  se classic songs with references to the style I have recorded before on "Blue Like That" (Capitol Records). I don't know if it's motherhood, or what, but I am feeling so full of emotion and gratitude. And I have a tribute I am cooking up to one of the great theatrical ingenues and inspirations of my life. Its a secret!"

The show will feature Andy Ezrin on piano and Tim Lefebvre on bass.

Tony-nominated for her work in Amour, Errico has been seen on Broadway in Dracula The Musical, High Society, My Fair Lady, and Anna Karenina. Off-Broadway credits include Aunt Dan and Lemon and Finian's Rainbow, while she has also been seen at Encores! in One Touch of Venus and at the Kennedy Center in Sunday in the Park with George.
