A Collapse, written and directed by Vincent Marano, will head Off-Off-Broadway after having played the 2006 New York International Fringe Festival.  It will play from November 7th through 18th at the Kraine Theatre (85 E. 4th Street).

The play will be presented by Teatro Oscuro.  "Inspired by true events, A Collapse tells the story of a young girl trapped in a wall after a disaster. While her neighbors struggle with the aftermath of the catastrophe, the girl's mother searches frantically for help. It's not just the story of one victim, but how modern societies cope with disaster & the limits of compassion, community and personal responsibility," as the show is described in press notes.

The production will star John Blaylock, Ethan Downing, Tod Engle, Jerry Ferris, Don Juhlin, Kathleen O'Neill, Christina Rommanello, Cheri Wicks and Laura Williams.  It will feature an original score by Andrea Mazzariello.

The schedule is: Tues–Thurs, November 7th through 9th, and November 14th through 16th at 8 PM, as well as Sat., November 11th and November 18th at 3 PM.
