MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL Cast Album Now Available

By:

AnthonyKen LLC announces the release of the original cast recording of MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL. Created and directed by Anthony Wayne and Kendrell Bowman, the critically acclaimed MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL ended a sold-out, limited Off-Broadway engagement on Sunday, October 5th.

The cast album is now available via the musical's website www.FabulousSylvester.com as well as through iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/mighty-real-fabulous-sylvester/id928287745 and CDBaby: http://www.cdbaby.com/m/cd/anthonyken.

Anthony Wayne (Broadway's PIPPIN, PRISCILLA ..., ANYTHIING GOES) sings, lives and breathes life as the 1970s Disco Singer SYLVESTER. The show, also, features Broadway's Anastacia McCleskey (PRISCILLA, HAIR, THE BOOK OF MORMON) and Jacqueline B. Arnold (WE WILL ROCK YOU, PRISCILLA) as The Weather Girls/Two Tons of Fun. Additional cast members include DeAnne Stewart and Rahmel McDade. The band members are Alonzo Harris (Music Director/Keyboards), Jason Patterson (Assistant Music Director/Drums), Alex "Busby" Smith (Bass), Ben Natti (Guitar), and James Cage (Trumpet).

Featuring classic songs such as "(You Make Me Feel) Mighty Real," "Dance (Disco Heat)," "Do Ya Wanna Funk," and "You Are My Friend," MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL tells the life story of Sylvester through HIS music and HIS point of view. Beyond all the trials, tribulations, and glitz and glamour of his lifestyle, Sylvester was a symbol for being FABULOUS, but, also, a symbol for unapologetically being who he was. MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL allows Sylvester's classic songs to enter your ears, soar through your heart, and inspire your soul.

After previous sold-out engagements in New York, Miami and Washington D.C., MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL made it critically acclaimed Off-Broadway premiere at Theatre at St. Clement's (423 W. 46th Street), playing a limited-engagement from September 5th through October 5th, 2014. The musical was presented by AnthonyKen LLC and Sheryl Lee Ralph/The Diva Foundation.

Plans are underway to bring the musical to San Francisco this winter, and to return to New York City in 2015.
