MEL & EL Headline Joe's Pub 4/4, Sing Songs From New Album

Some folks will be gathering Easter eggs or trying to finish that last box of matzah, butthose who are looking for a truly religious experience will be somewhere else entirely! On Sunday, April 4 th at 7PM, MEL & EL will headline JOE'S PUB with MEL & EL: SHE'S MY BITCH - THE CD RELEASE-A-PALOOZA featuring hilarious songs from their debut musical comedy album, SHE'S MY BITCH.

Created and performed by award-winning funny femmes Melanie Adelman and Ellie Dvorkin with composerPatrick Spencer Bodd, MEL & EL: SHE'S MY BITCH is a "musical Laverne & Shirley meets Sex & the City"with a lower shoe budget and a higher ratio of in-your-crotch comedy. Hailed as "outrageous" by The NewYork Times and "hilariously squirm-inducing" by the Village Voice, Mel & El will sing their classics (Fagnet, Anti-Bacterial Everything), bust out some new tunes (Potty Mouth, White Lady with a Black Baby), and puttheir CD in places no CD has ever been before.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 on the day of show.

Seating, as well as standing-room, is available onlyon a first-come, first-served basis for all shows without a table reservation.

MEL & EL have quickly become an NYC cult phenomenon. They enjoyed a year-long run of the criticallyacclaimed MEL & EL: THIS SHOW RHYMES, while their second show, MEL & EL: SHOW AND TELL premiered at Ars Nova to rave reviews.

MEL & EL: GAY MARRIED headlined at Comix NYC andculminated in the pair being chosen as one of the Village Voice's Best of New York. They were awarded the Backstage Bistro Award for their song "Fagnet" as well as the Collaboration Award given by the NYCoalition of Professional Women in the Arts and Media.ABOUT JOE'S PUBJoe's Pub at The Public Theater debuted in October 1998 and has quickly became one of New York City'smost celebrated and in-demand showcase venues for live music and performance.
