Reduced price tickets for the public to major cultural events will be easier to purchase beginning October 29, 2013. New York City Center, 92nd Street Y, Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center, and Miller Theatre at Columbia University have joined with Lincoln Center to sell reduced-price tickets to their performances at LCTIX at the Zucker Box Office in Lincoln Center's David Rubenstein Atrium beginning Tuesday, October 29, 2013. The tickets will be sold the week of the performances on a Tuesday through Saturday schedule allowing for greater flexibility with ticket purchasing, unlike other discount ticket programs that sell tickets for the day of a show. For example, discounted tickets for a Friday night performance at City Center will be available at the Atrium on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, or as long as inventory lasts.
"With these four cultural institutions joining Lincoln Center's LCTIX at the Zucker Box Office, we intend to create a thriving 'TKTS' for non-profits and culturals," says Tom Dunn, Sr. Director, Concert Halls Operations. "Patrons of cultural organizations need the same convenience - and the same opportunity for reduced prices - as patrons at most entertainment venues in the city. At the Zucker Box Office we will offer one-stop shopping, at a discount, for some of the finest performances in and around New York." These organizations join Big Apple Circus and resident organizations of Lincoln Center, including New York Philharmonic, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Film Society of Lincoln Center, New York City Ballet, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and Lincoln Center Theater, to offer tickets, at 25% to 50% off, as available.
