Laura Benanti Set to Guest Star on LAW & ORDER: SVU

BroadwayWorld.com has learned that Tony-winner Laura Benanti will join the cast of LAW & ORDER SVU for a multI-episode ark. Benanti will play the bitter ex-wife of Danny Pino's character. This duo will replace the former married duo of Stabler and his wife Kathy, and delve deep into their relationship away from the SVU team. No air dates have been set for Benanti's multi-episode arc.
Benanti was last seen on Broadway in WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, for which she received a Tony nomination and a Drama Desk Award, among others. She is a previous Tony winner for Gypsy.
At the beginning of season thirteen of 'Law & Order: SVU', Danny Pino and Kelli Giddish joined the cast as new lead Detectives Nick Amaro and Amanda Rollins respectively. 'Law & Order: SVU' airs Wednesdays at 10pm on NBC.
