John McLaughlin Set for Paul Reed Smith's Custom Guitar Presentation at Met Museum, 10/7

American guitar maker Paul ReEd Smith will present a custom-made electric guitar to The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, October 7, at 4:30 p.m. The presentation will take place at the Museum's Temple of Dendur in The Sackler Wing and will be followed by a musical demonstration by legendary guitarist John McLaughlin.

Paul ReEd Smith heads one of the most successful and influential guitar companies in the world and his instruments have been used by many of the most prominent electric guitarists of the last quarter century.

The Metropolitan Museum is pleased to add this guitar, representing one of the most important contemporary guitar makers, to its encyclopedic collection of musical instruments.

The event is free to the public with Museum admission on Monday, October 7, 4:30-5:15 p.m. at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Temple of Dendur in The Sackler Wing.
