Writer and rabble-rouser Joe Iconis brings his merry band of musical theatre punks back to Weston to open the new state-of-the-art Weston Playhouse at Walker Farm. Joe Iconis and Family will perform some of the hottest work in musical theatre in this new, versatile space during Vermont's peak foliage week!

Audiences will remember Joe and his family of actor/singer/musicians from Weston's 2015 production of Pump Boys and Dinettes and the accompanying Cabaret. Join Joe and the gang for a rousing celebration of Mr. Iconis's award-winning work - a unique mash-up of show tunes, cabaret, and rock and roll jamboree. The New York Times recently dubbed Joe and his troupe of musical mavericks "the future of musical theater. " The performances will feature character pieces, rip-roaring sing-a-longs, sentimental ballads, and world premieres that feel both classic and cutting edge. These concerts are sure to be delightful entertainment in the mountains of Vermont.

A composer - lyricist - book writer - performer, Joe has authored the musicals Be More Chill, Broadway BounTy Hunter, Bloodsong of Love, The Black Suits, ReWrite, The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks, and We The People. His songs were featured on Season 2 of NBC's Smash and his albums are available on Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records. Joe frequently plays The Beechman Theater, 54 Below, and Joe's Pub. He has been nominated for two Drama Desk Awards, a Lucille Lortel Award, and is the recipient of an Ed Kleban Award, a Jonathan Larson Award, two Berkshire Theater Awards, and a Doris Duke Grant, among others. Upcoming projects include Love In Hate Nation for Penn State, and The Untitled Hunter S. Thompson Musical for La Jolla Playhouse.

Joe is joined by longtime collaborators Seth Eliser (Weston's Once), Lauren Marcus (Weston's The Marvelous Wonderettes; Barrington Stage's Company), Eric William Morris (Bloodsong of Love), George Salazar (Be More Chill), and Philip Jackson Smith (Amazon's Mozart in the Jungle).

Show times are Sun. Oct 1 - Sun Oct 8 at 8:00 pm nightly, Wed. and Sat. matinees at 4pm. All tickets are General Admission.
