Jane Lynch, William H. Macy et al. Host THE LAST FIVE YEARS at Hollywood's Third Street Theatre, 5/4-6

By:

Third Street Theatre, the West Hollywood 99-seat Equity Waiver theatre that brought LA the critically-acclaimed smash hit Falsettos, presents three limited engagement fundraising gala performances of The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown tonight, May 4th, tomorrow May 5th and Sunday, May 6th. Each night will bring audiences a fresh mix of Broadway, film and television talent with hosts Jane Lynch, William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman, and a cast that includes Tracie Thoms (Rent), Shoshana Bean (Wicked), Lindsay Pearce (The Glee Project) and Chase Williamson (Spring Awakening). Every performance will be immediately followed by a catered reception and a hosted wine bar.

THE LAST FIVE YEARS explores the 5-year relationship from meeting, through marriage and finally to divorce, between Jamie, a novelist, and Cathy his actress wife. Cathy tells her story in reverse chronological order, while Jamie moves chronologically from beginning to end. They meet only once, in the middle of the show, as they exchange their vows.

This production has been multicast with men and women playing the roles of Jamie and Cathy in an imaginative and compelling new staging of this well-loved show.

Third Street Theatre is Los Angeles’ newest 99-seat Equity Waiver Theater. Debuting with last fall’s critical hit FALSETTOS, Third Street Theatre is proud to continue its path of artistic integrity. This fully catered fundraiser will donate all proceeds from THE LAST FIVE YEARS towards the theatre and future productions.

THE LAST FIVE YEARS is Friday, May 4th at 8pm, Saturday May 5th at 8pm, and Sunday May 6th at 7pm at the Third Street Theatre, 8115 W. Third Street in West Hollywood. Ticket prices are $75.00-$100.00. For tickets, please visit www.showclix.com or call 1.888.71.TICKETS (84253).

What do Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Red Skelton, Gene Kelley, Madonna, Michael Jackson and the celebrities of “Dancing with the Stars” all have in common? They have all danced on the floors of the THIRD STREET THEATRE. This historical building served as a rehearsal studio & supper club in the 1940’s for CBS, Raleigh, and Paramount Studios. In the ‘80s and ‘90s, the building became the famed “Dupree Dance Academy” - where every dancer who dreamed of stardom trained. The current home to YADA (The Youth Academy of Dramatic Arts), for the past 12 years the THIRD STREET THEATRE is proud of its transformation into a 99-seat Equity Waiver Theatre in the Third Street Shopping area.
