James Corden to Host MICAH'S VOICE Benefit Concert, Featuring Boyz II Men and More
On Sunday, April 10, 2016, multi-GRAMMY Award winner and Boyz II Men singer Shawn Stockman and Sharhonda Stockman will host MICAH'S VOICE PRESENTS BACK IN THE DAY, its 2nd annual fundraiser to benefit families affected by autism.
BroadwayWorld has learned that host of THE LATE LATE SHOW and this year's Tony Awards, actor and comedian James Corden, will also host MICAH'S VOICE, being held at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills, CA.
The evening will feature performances by the most successful R&B group of all time, Boyz II Men and R&B artist extraordinaire, Tank.
MICAH'S VOICE PRESENTS BACK IN THE DAY will honor Los Angeles Clipper Jamal Crawford, actor/comedian/producer Martin Lawrence with the Act of Kindess Award and Leaps n Boundz, an adaptive recreation program for children and young adults with special needs, with the Visionary Award. Honorees were selected for their selfless and invaluable efforts to enrich and support families affected by autism.
Shawn and Sharhonda Stockman founded Micah's Voice in 2013 to provide much needed resources and financial support to families living with an autism diagnosis. After Micah, one of the Stockman's twin sons was diagnosed with autism at an early age, they experienced firsthand how complex and expensive finding the proper resources and treatments for children with autism can be. Their own journey inspired them to help other families facing similar circumstances. "It's not just the child that's affected by autism, the family is affected as well," stated the Stockman's. "And our mission is to help these families enjoy the best quality of life possible. "
