An original musical reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's cerebral horror masterpiece "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,""Jekyll in Chains" is set in 1990's Seattle to grunge and alt rock music inspired by bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Garbage, and more.
"Jekyll in Chains" follows the story of a brilliant neurosurgeon, Dr. Henry Jekyll, as he attempts to create a computer chip that can shut off the self destructive and violent impulses in the brain. With the help of his equally genius computer programer, Gabby Uttley, he nearly succeeds, but when Jekyll, desperate to gain funding for his project, tries to test this new device on himself, a glitch in the system spawns his destructive alter ego, Edward Hyde. A thrilling tale unfolds as Hyde sets off to "help" Jekyll free himself of the hypocrisy of civilized society through murder, violence, sexual deviance, and drug abuse. Can the tortured doctor conquer the beast within or will Hyde gain control and not only succeed in destroying Jekyll's life but leave a trail of destruction in his wake.
