Solo performer
Iris Zieber will bring her show From
Israel to Sex in the Sity to the American Theatre of Actors (314 W. 54th Street

run every night at 8 PM (Sundays at 6 PM) and there will be a Saturday
matinee as well at 4 PM.

"From Israel to Sex in the Sity is My Big Fat Greek
Wedding meets Margaret Cho. It is an earnest and outrageous chronicle of an
Israeli woman coming to the Big Apple and going through the cultural clashes
between the Israeli and American mentalities. From mothers trying to hook you up
with Jewish boys in the Bronx Botanical Garden, to online dating, sex, politics,
manners and spelling in English, Iris Zieber will dispel all myths of Israeli
behavior and perhaps reinforce a few as well," state press notes.
"I came to the U.S. over 5 years ago. I thought I
knew everything there is to know about America and Americans, but I didn't," said the performer. "I started to write all of my experiences
down. As I was writing, I kept hearing other people going through the same
things that I went through, laughing and sharing in my experiences. I knew
I was striking a chord and had to bring these stories to the
stage."
Zeiber is a director, producer and actress whose credits include Cabaret (Frauline Kost- Brookdale Theatre) and The Vagina Monologues (Assembly Hall).
She raised about $6000 to fight violence towards women.Tickets are $15/ $12 for students and can be
