Jennifer Hudson and Eddie Murphy - both of whom may be taking home golden statuettes this Oscar Sunday - will be featured on A&E's "Breakfast with the Arts" on Sunday morning, February 25th. The show airs from 8 AM through 10 AM (check local listings).
Hudson and Murphy, who have both won SAG and Golden Globe nominations for their respective performances as Effie and James "Thunder" Early in the Dreamgirls film, will be interviewed by host Karina Huber on the show. In addition to a debate on Oscar wins featuring a number of top film critics, "Breakfast with the Arts" will feature chats with Oscar-nominees Kate Winslet (Little Children) and Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland), Oscar-nominee Martin Scorcese and the cast of The Departed, and Owen Wilson and Paul Newman (Cars).
Hudson, who rose to fame as a finalist on "American Idol" and has appeared onstage in the Actors' Fund concert of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, has also picked up a multitude of critical awards for her turn as Effie. It was recently announced that she will record her debut solo album with legendary producer Clive Davis this March.
Murphy, a former cast member of "Saturday Night Live," has appeared in dozens of films, including the Shrek series, Norbit, Daddy Day Care, I Spy, the Nutty Professor films, the Dr. Dolittle films, the Beverly Hills Cop films, Bowfinger, Mulan, Coming to America and Trading Places.
The 79th Annual Academy Awards will be broadcast live from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on ABC on February 25th, beginning at 8 PM.
