Harpsichordist Sonia Lee Presents Free Concert, 11/8

Gotham Early Music Scene (GEMS) will present Sonia Lee: Harpsichord Music of the Italian Baroque - Toccatas, Dances and Variations on Thursday, November 8 at 1:15pm.

The concert will feature a vivid and virtuosic program of harpsichord music by Italian composers of the 17th and 18th centuries. Works to be performed include toccatas by Frescobaldi and Pasquini, dance movements by Picchi, and variation works by Storace and A. Scarlatti.

Lee will perform at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church (619 Lexington Avenue at 54th Street) at 1:15pm on Thursday, November 8. No tickets are required; the seating is first-come, first-served.

This is part of a weekly series of free 35-minute concerts, every Thursday at 1:15 p.m. Midtown Concerts offers workers in midtown as well as the general public the opportunity to enjoy high-quality performances of music of the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods in a convenient, comfortable, acoustically superb venue. Free-will donations are gratefully accepted at the door.
