GPRrecords presents "Classical Concerts for Classy Kids", a new family concerts series at 54 Below in NYC, beginning May 4, 2013 at 11 AM. Emmy-winning Composer Glen Roven explains classical music like you've never heard it explained before.

The phrase commonly heard by parents introducing their kids to classical music, "BUT IT'S SO BORING!"" will disappear in a moment with these "Classical Concerts for Classy Kids," as Glen Roven offers an audience of parents and children the simple keys and tools to enjoy the masterpieces of the ages.

Focusing on one piece of chamber music, the Concerts start with a description of the piece and the instruments, followed by a lunch, then a full-out performance by the GPR Festival String Quartet. Filled with insight, wit and humor, Maestro Roven concocts a concert perfort for the seasoned concert-goes as well as the novice.

Emmy winner Glen Roven has performed at Carnegie Hall three times, conducted major symphonies throughout the world including the Israel Philharmonic and is the Artistic Direcotr of GPRrecords, one of the mose respect and innovative labes in classical music today.

The GPR Festival Quartet:
Kinga Augustyn, Violin
Muneyoshi Takahashi, violin
William Frampton, viola
In Hwa Lee, cello
