Broadway leading man Gavin Creel will perform songs from Goodtimenation, his debut album, in New York next month. On November 7th, he'll take the spotlight at Arlene Grocery (95 Stanton St.) at 7:30 PM and will perform at the same time and place on November 14th. He will also give a concert on November 21st, at a location and time to be announced.

Creel is "taking a departure from his acting roots to create a new sound on the debut album, Goodtimenation. Armed with his sexy, original feel-good pop tunes, Creel has played for sold-out crowds all across NYC (Irving Plaza, Studio 54 Upstairs, Joe's Pub)," according to the star's website. The album features songs that Creel co-wrote with producer Robbie Roth.

Creel is a Tony Award-nominee for his star-making performance in Thoroughly Modern Millie; he has since appeared on Broadway in the revival of La Cage aux Folles. He originated the role of Hollis Bessemer in Stephen Sondheim's Bounce and also appeared in the Actors' Fund benefit concert of Hair. Other credits include the national tour of Fame and the off-Broadway production's of Illyria: The Musical and Bat Boy.
