GLEE Exec Brad Buecker to Direct Lionsgate Musical TIME AFTER TIME; Brian Yorkey to Pen Script

Deadline.com reports that GLEE and 'American Horror Story' co-executive producer Brad Buecker will direct Lionsgate's upcoming musical TIME AFTER TIME. Steve Golin, Joy Gorman and Matt Weaver will produce the film. 

TIME AFTER TIME was penned by Brian Yorkey, the Pulitizer Prize winning playwright who wrote Broadway's Next to Normal. Yorkey shared the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2009 Tony Award for Best Original Score with composer Tom Kitt, and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical for the hit show.  

TIME AFTER TIME will follows the story of "a contemporary teenage girl who finds herself trapped in an 1980′s with her mother as her best friend." According to the report, Yorkey is in the process of working on a rewrite of the script.
