Gotham Stage Company is re-teaming with playwright Randall David Cook (Gotham's Sake with the Haiku Geisha, BBC's Sushi and Scones) to present his most recent work, Fate's Imagination, at The Player's Theatre (115 MacDougal Street). Fate's Imagination is scheduled to run May 25 – June 17, with opening night set for Thursday, May 31 at 8PM.

The show will also be introducing Gotham's new program, Honoring the Profession, which will make available all unsold seats to students of the theatrical arts and members of the theatrical unions free of charge. Honoring the Profession patrons need only to present their theatrical union card or student ID from an institution teaching dramatic arts at the box office 30 minutes prior to curtain and will receive one free admission, based on availability.

Press notes describe the production, "Lilah, desperate to reconnect with true love, believes she has found it in a chance sexual encounter with Brock, a man half her age.  Brock's mother, a senator from New York, is determined not to let a family scandal derail her bid for President, but Lilah's seduction knows no bounds as the personal and political collide in this intense sexual drama. Could this be the fate that Lilah has waited for or just Fate's Imagination?"

Fate's Imagination stars Donna Mitchell (Mona Lisa Smile, Pollock, Boiler Room) Elizabeth Norment (A Touch of the Poet, Plenty) and Jed Orlemann ("One Life to Live," Henry IV at Lincoln Center). The show's creative team includes Robin Vest (scenic), Erin Murphy (costumes), Lucas Benjaminh Krech (lighting), and Robert Kaplowitz (sound/original compositions). Hayley Finn (Kate Crackernuts) directs.

Fate's Imagination will play Off-Broadway at The Player's Theatre (115 MacDougal Street) May 25 – June 17. Opening night is set for Thursday, May 31 at 8PM. The show runs Tuesday – Saturday at 8PM and Saturday and Sunday at 3PM Tickets are $35-$65 and can be purchased by visiting www.gothamstage.org or by calling 212-352-3101.
