Aisha plays 'Daisy' in The Great Gatsby on Broadway.
Daisy Buchanan is a complicated woman. Just ask The Great Gatsby star Aisha Jackson, who plays her eight times a week at the Broadway Theatre.
"I like to say that Daisy is a complex girly- there are many layers there. From the outside looking in, she's living this life of luxury. She's a woman of the 1920s. She's married, she has a child... but she's also kind of trapped in this marriage and deeply unhappy," she told BroadwayWorld. "We find her at a crossroads of whether or not she should remain faithful to her husband (although he is not faithful to her), or if she should pursue an old romance that she just learned is right across the bay."
Watch in this video as she is joined by Daniel Edmonds on the piano at the beautiful Laurie Beechman Theatre to perform Daisy's haunting Act 2 ballad, "Beautiful Little Fool."
