Eldorado Auto-Skooter and Arcade to Close After 40 Years; Farewell Parties Set for 10/26 & 27

For nearly 40 years, the Eldorado bumper cars and arcade have been fixtures in Coney Island's amusement district. And now they only have until the end of October until their lease expires. So they want to ride off into the sunset with a bang.

Millions of people have gone through the gates at this landmark institution and everyone has a story to tell about bumping their ass off. This October, coinciding with Halloween, the Eldorado will host a weekend's worth of going away parties. The events will add one more memory to the legacy that is the Eldorado.

Friday night's events include pay one price for unlimited laser enhanced bumper car rides, New York's hottest go go dancers, the bloodiest Halloween themed sideshow featuring Coney Island regulars Adam RealMan and Kryssy Kocktail as well as a glam, punk, garage party in the arcade plus a huge Halloween costume contest.

Saturday night promises to be just as exciting with a Skee Ball competition, Peek A Boo GoGo and unlimited laser enhanced bumper car rides featuring NYC's hottest electronic and house DJ's. Heather Heart, the First Lady of NYC EDM along with Eddy Van Raven, Frank Clementi and Lemar Soulflower will be spinning dance music of all genres into the wee hours of the morning.

Friday's Party
Hours: 9:00pm-1:00am
Cost: $25 with $5 back in quarters for the Mega Arcade includes freaky finger food.
21 and over with proper ID

Saturday's Party
Hours: 10:00pm-4:00am
Cost: $15 in advance, $20 at the door, includes freaky finger food.
21 and over with proper ID
