Donald F. Smith Memorial Concert Set for Tonight, 5/22

New York's cabaret community comes together to celebrate the legacy of its late great impresario Donald F. Smith in a free public concert.

Donald F. Smith, Executive Director and Founder of The Mabel Mercer Foundation, passed away in March, 2012.  He created the New York Cabaret Convention 27 years ago.  For many years it was held at Town Hall, a building he was instrumental in preserving as a New York City landmark. 

The concert will present some of Donald's favorite performers including Karen Akers, Christine Andreas, Ann Hampton Callaway, Barbara Carroll, Baby Jane Dexter, Michael Feinstein, Jeff Harnar, Andrea Marcovicci, Marilyn Maye, T. Oliver Reid, Steve Ross, Craig Rubano, Billy Stritch, Jennifer Sheehan, KT Sullivan and Ronny Whyte.

Tickets are free to the public.  All remaining seats are available on a first come/first served basis at the Town Hall box office located at 123 West 43^rd Street. (Monday – Saturday, 12PM – 6PM).
