Daniel Smith with his Jazz Quartet, 'Bassoon and Beyond,' will appear January 28 and 8pm at Bargemusic (2 Cadman Plaza West Brooklyn, NY).

The performance is a celebration of the release of his new CD- "Blue Bassoon." Advance reviews of 'Blue Bassoon' from leading jazz critics call it 'best jazz performance ever by a bassoon player', 'A fabulous CD', 'best jazz album of the year', 'music is outstanding', Jazz's premier bassoonist' and 'top performance rating'.

Daniel Smith will play bassoon, Daniel Kelly the piano, Michael O'Brien the bass, and Vincent Ector the drums. Tickets are $25 with discounted $20 tickets for seniors and $10 tickets for students. A complimentary copy of "Blue Bassoon" will be included with the admission price.
