John Patrick Shanley, winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for DOUBT, will be the featured guest on tonight's "New York Close Up." The program airs on NY1 beginning at 9 PM.

The Broadway production is directed by Doug Hughes and stars Cherry Jones as Sister Aloysius and Brían F. O'Byrne as Father Flynn, with Heather Goldenhersh as Sister James and Adriane Lenox as Mrs. Muller.

DOUBT is produced on Broadway by Carole Shorenstein Hays; MTC Productions, Inc. (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer); Roger Berlind and Scott Rudin.

DOUBT is author John Patrick Shanley's first play to be produced on Broadway.

Set against the backdrop of a Bronx Catholic school in 1964, DOUBT is the story of a strong-minded woman faced with a difficult decision. Should she voice concerns about one of her male colleagues…even if she's not entirely certain of the truth?

Performance schedule is Tuesday through Saturday at 8:00 PM, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2:00 PM, and Sunday at 3:00 PM.

Tickets are now on sale, and are available by calling Telecharge.com at 212: 239-6200.
