Cynthia Nixon on New York Senate Same-Sex Marriage Vote: 'It's a Helluva State.'
Actor and same-sex activist Cynthia Nixon has taken to the Huffington Post blog to voice her disappointment at the New York Senate Vote which failed to legalize same-sex marriages in New York.
In her post, Cynthia says, "Wednesday's No vote on same sex marriage was supremely disappointing on a personal as well as a political level. Guess Christine and I can kiss that Waldorf Astoria wedding... Brooklyn Botanical Gardens wedding... Montauk Beach wedding -- you fill in the blank -- goodbye." Cynthia also speaks of Ruth Hassell-Thompson. A Senator from the Bronx and Mt Vernon - and a newly-found ally in the fight for same-sex rights.
