The Eastern Education Foundation Performing Arts Council will present the world premiere of An Evening of Jazz, Blues and Ballads on Saturday, February 11th, 2006 at 8:00 PM at the Eastern Center for the Performing Arts in southern New Jersey.

Direct from New York, Tony and Grammy Award winner BJ Crosby from the original Broadway cast of Smokey Joe's Cafe, as well as Ain't Misbehavin' and Broadway's Chicago will take the stage for An Evening of Jazz, Blues and Ballads. "Ms. Crosby's is a brass layered belter and her soulful style will both warm your heart as well as Raise the Roof," according to press notes.

Act Two will feature Danny Zolli, best known for his numerous performances as Jesus and Judas in Broadway's Jesus Christ Superstar. Zolli performed in the South Jersey production of Neil's Berg's 100 Years of Broadway and earned a Barrymore nomination for his portrayal of Joseph in Lenape's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Zolli "will light up the stage with razor-sharp jazz and smooth vocals." He will be accompanied by his jazz band from New York and back up singers, and will celebrate the launching of his second CD Sometimes Simple is Best.

"A surprise finale is in store for this great evening of jazz, blues and ballads, New York style."

Tickets can be purchased on line at www.easternpac.com or by phone by calling the Eastern Performing Arts Center at 856.784.4441x1181 or at the box office. Special discounts are available for seniors and groups.
