The creative team behind the new musical JUST LIKE MAGIC continue OPERATION: SUTTON, their online video campaign to persuade two-time Tony Award winner (and Broadway darling) Sutton Foster to accompany JUST LIKE MAGIC star Christopher T. Magician to the New York Musical Theatre Festival gala on September 26, 2011, with the release of Operation: Sutton 7 and Operation: Sutton 8 - which can now be seen on YouTube channel JustLikeMagicMusical https://www.youtube.com/user/JustLikeMagicMusical.

In OPERATION: SUTTON Christopher T. Magician is pulling out all the stops to get the attention of Ms. Foster. His attempts have included an ultra-elaborate domino message to Ms. Foster, a glimpse of what Ms. Foster might be like if she were a balloon-person, a mock-telethon, and most recently an original song (by JUST LIKE MAGIC's Ryan Mercy and Christopher W. Barnes) about Hurricane Irene and her impact on Operation: Sutton and a night braved in a haunted hotel room.

The world premiere of JUST LIKE MAGIC, Christopher T. Magician's Zany Magical Musical Extravaganza, is a special event in the 2011 New York Musical Theatre Festival at TBG Theater (312 West 36th Street) in Manhattan, with performances on Friday, Oct. 7 at 8:00pm; Saturday, Oct. 8 at 10:30pm and Thursday, Oct. 13 at 8:00pm.

Having performed magic shows at birthday parties throughout the New York City living room circuit, JUST LIKE MAGIC is the chance to see this talented performer live!

But this is no ordinary magic show...

Christopher T. Magician and his entourage have been hired to perform at a child's birthday party, but the show turns decidedly dark as Christopher suffers a complete mental breakdown in front of his young audience. Think "Blue's Clues" meets "Hedwig and the Angry Inch"! What begins as a fun magic show featuring toe-tapping songs, comedy, and puppetry ends with dead puppets and children scarred for life in this decidedly not-for-kids musical. (Oh and there's magic tricks. Super Awesome Magic Tricks!)

Now in its eighth year, the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) is the largest annual musical theatre event in America and is widely regarded as the essential source for new material and talent discovery. NYMF provides a launching pad for the next generation of musicals and ensuring their creators the continued vitality of one of America's greatest art forms. Hailed as the "Sundance of Musical Theatre," NYMF discovers, nurtures, and promotes promising musical theatre artists and producers at all stages of development, and inspires a diverse audience through vibrant, accessible, powerful new work.

NYMF is the flagship program of National Music Theater Network, Inc., a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization. NYMF 2011 is presented in association with BroadwayWorld.com, Production Resource Group and TheaterMania.com. Major supporters include The ASCAP Foundation, BMI Foundation, Inc., The Broadway League, The BWF Foundation, The Nathan Cummings Foundation with the support and encouragement of Jamie Ariel Phinney, The Charlie & Jane Fink Charitable Fund, The Rodgers & Hammerstein Foundation, The Shubert Foundation, and The Theater League. NYMF is supported, in part, by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
