Coney Island USA and the Alliance for Coney Island have announced a free children's book reading at the Coney Island Museum.

Rhys Shelton will draw, and conduct a drawing demonstration with all children in attendance, afterwards.

Meet Princess Curl! She's a fun loving little girl with a head full of wild curly hair. In this story, Princess Curl learns the importance of wearing her bonnet at night. What happens when Princess Curl refuses to cover her curls before drifting off to sleep? Join Princess Curl, Mommy, and the Fairies on this adorable journey of learning to care for your beautiful, marvelous, fabulous hair!

Author Cherrelle Shelton studied at Drexel University School of Public Health. Her first book is entitled "Feedies," which helps to teach children about of their environment. Illustrator Rhys Shelton studied Fine Arts at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is currently an entrepreneur developing his art company, PreciseFlow Art. Cherrelle and Rhys Shelton both grew up in New Jersey where they currently reside with their three children. In their first children's book together, the Sheltons share the world of natural curly hair through the eyes of a little curly hair princess inspired by their daughters.
